How to Build a Nightwear Wardrobe That Feels Like You

Most of us give far more thought to our daytime wardrobe than what we actually sleep in — even though we spend roughly a third of our lives in it. Building a nightwear wardrobe that feels intentional doesn't need to be complicated. It just needs a framework.

Start with fabric, not print. Ask yourself how you actually sleep — do you run warm, do you toss and turn, do you like structure or want to feel completely unrestricted? That answer points you toward satin, relaxed cotton-blends, or something in between, before you even look at colors.

Next, think in categories rather than one-off pieces. A cami set for warmer nights, a full-sleeve night suit for winter or air-conditioned rooms, and one 'occasion' set — something a little more elevated for when nightwear doubles as loungewear in front of guests.

Prints are where personality comes in. If your day-to-day style leans quiet and neutral, a bold print at night can be a nice contrast rather than a clash. If you already dress expressively, soft florals or solids can feel like a gentle exhale at the end of the day.

Finally, buy fewer, better pieces. Two or three well-made sets in fabric you love will outlast and out-comfort a drawer full of fast-fashion pajamas — and you'll actually look forward to changing into them.
